Will playing rugby 10 days after getting a tattoo on the ribs ruin it?

Ciarra B asked:

I want to get a rather large tattoo on my ribs ten days before a rugby game. I play a back position so I typically get tackeled less than 10 times a game. I know they recommend no contact sports at all but what is the minimum wait period? Is there anyway to better protect it during the game?

The ground and youre playing rough contact sport then yes there is good chance that you are getting thrown to heal without any other added conflicts.
